While they closed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics before we were able to get on the list, be assured that we are a company dedicated to producing products without dangerous chemical additives. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has good information on ingredients commonly found in soap & cosmetics. They are an organization that is working to eliminate dangerous ingredients in personal care products. Did you know that the European Union Cosmetics Directive (76/768/EEC) was revised in January 2003 to ban 1,100 chemicals from cosmetics; the U.S. FDA has banned or restricted only 11. The Essential Oils We Use
We buy our essential oils from Appalachian Valley Natural Products because we trust that the essential oils are pure and unadulterated. No, not all essentials are the same! All but two of Appalachian Valley essentials are distilled from organic or wild-grown aromatic plants. And, they test all their oils to be sure they are of the highest quality for you, the consumer!
